Prepare your heart for Easter!

This Week our Church has given us Scriptures to read every day to help us prepare our hearts for Easter. Our Pastor Gary preached a sermon a few weeks ago where he pointed out that our condition predicts our response. It is so true! The condition of your heart and your spiritual life is going to predict how you respond to life’s ups and downs. If your Passion Week is like every other week, then your Good Friday and Easter Sunday will look a lot like every other day. (Or dare I say every other holiday: Rushing from house to house, egg hunt to egg hunt, fighting traffic, gorging ourselves, and over indulging in bunnies, chicks and chocolate. Not stopping to really think about the greatness of the sacrifice of Christ conditions our heart to predict a response of "So What".
How tragic! In my effort to prevent this from happening in my own heart and in Will and My home this year, we have been reading the scriptures the church has provided for us. I would love to share them with you. I know that it is already Wednesday but you can catch up. Set aside some time to read God's living word.

Monday: Genesis 3:1-21; Isaiah 6:1-7; Luke 2:22-40
Tuesday: Psalm 22:1-31
Wednesday: Isaiah 52:13-15; Isaiah 53:1-12
Thursday: Matthew 26:1-75
Friday: Matthew 27:1-64
Saturday: Matthew 28:1-20
Sunday: 1 Corinthians 15:1-58; Revelation 22: 1-21 (He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!)

Psalm 22:31 Says, "They shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn."
That is us, our children, and grandchildren! First, I want to be truly thankful. Without Jesus' sacrifice I would be worse than lost. Romans 5:8-9 says, but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. Secondly, I am so glad that someone proclaimed His Righteousness to me. I pray someone has to you. I pray I do, to you. Jesus' death on the cross and most importantly his resurrection was to cover us with His righteousness. It is there for you. Romans 10:9 says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

I pray this Easter is different for you, proclaim his righteousness. Condition your heart's response to worship the Lord this week.

Happy Easter!

Dallas Zoo

While Caroline, Hudson, Grayson and Goo were in town Andrea, Drew, Yiayia, Liam and I took them to the Dallas zoo. I don't think I had ever been to the Dallas Zoo. The only Zoo I can remember is the Fort Worth. We had a great time and Liam is still talking about the Elephant! (Everyday!)
I know I am a bit late on this one but things have been crazy. Will just fixed our computer so I can show you all our fun pictures again. Enjoy...

Grayson and Liam were in Yiayia's double stroller. That thing was a work out to push.
It was a georgous Spring day! The trees were blooming. This one reminided me of Louisville.
Liam was borrowing Hudson's glasses. This elephants name is Jenny, great name!
We loved watching the giraffe eat.

On our way past the elephants the second time, Jenny had her foot up on the fence. YiaYia showed Liam how she was eating. Now everyday he shows us how an elephant eats, talks and puts her foot up.

I took this video the day that we played with the new Police car. At the beginning he shows us how an elephant eats. He goes on to talk  about us making pancakes and the mixer goes round and round (Sounds a lot like yelling.)

I wish I would ahve taken more pictures but we were busy going from animal to animal. Thanks YiaYia for the day at the Zoo!

Eggstravaganza 2010

I must say, Ms. Pennie puts on a great easter egg hunt! This past saturday was the Height's Eggstravaganza. Will, Liam, YiaYia and I went out to hunt some eggs.

Liam eyeing the eggs in front of him. Planning his stratagy.
Look at all those eggs
I think this year he has the hang of it

Isn't he cute in his pink button down and his new jeans
You mean they are filled with candy?!?!
Once he realized that there was cany in them he slowed down. He wanted to open every one. There was a lot of cany he couldn't eat though so mommy got to taste some. I was telling him to put it in his basket.
The basket is half his size, it was the smallest one we had.

The Daniels from our ABF were there volunteering.
Liam noticing how many eggs are in that other little boys basket.
MMM I better get to work.
But wait what is in this one?
YiaYia helping to get him back on track.
Alright now we're filling it up!
Why is everyone leaving? They left some, right here.
whew this egg hunting is hard work
Jackpot!
Sidetracked by the window but at least I got the egg.
I love this picture with his eyebrow raised. Ohh there are more over there too.
YiaYia and Liam with a FULL basket. (Liam has candy in his mouth, thus the half smile, half pucker.)
Team Liam egg hunters
(Same peice of candy in his mouth)
We were the last ones to leave the egg hunt area. Daddy and Liam went to explore the blow ups.

BIG BOY!
Before I knew it Liam was going down the blow up slide all by himself!
Wheee! He actually was going really slowly he had to scooch himself down.
He loved it!
The bounce house he wasn't so sure about. He sat and let the other kids bounce him.
Sugar overload
The youth were painting faces. Liam didn't do the face painting at the Arboritum, he was scared of Hundson's Tiget face. He is still talking about hudson's tiger face. Being used to the idea now we thought we would give it a shot.
Presenting Bunny Liam...
Mom why does my nose feel funny?
One more ride down the slide with mommy then off to nap time.
Wow what a morning! We had a great time.

Generous Neighbors

Our Neighbors gave Liam some hand me down toys the other day and boy is he having fun with them. The only other family with a child lives across the parking lot. The husband is an Addison police officer. He said that they were going to throw away the car and slide if Liam didn't want it.
We live close to the tennis cort so we took all the new stuff over and had a ball.

Capt. Liam
