Ducky Ball

Liam invented a new game at bath time tonight. I call it Ducky ball! He noticed the loop the shower head makes and decided to aim his duckies for it.
We were saying " twooooooo Shhhhhhhots" like the mavericks announcer
They both went threw! Good shot Liam.
I told Liam to look up at me and smile and this is what he gave me. It looks eerily familiar, I believe my parents have a million pictures of me just like this.

Watching Planes

Since we won't be living in Addison much longer I took Liam to watch the planes this afternoon. It has become one of our families favorite things to do while living here. Liam loves crawling around the car and watching the planes land and take off.
.
As we pulled up this HUGE jet was taking off
Liam was pointing to a smaller one he was more impressed with.

Liam's First Summer Job

Liam started his first summer job today, he ran a car wash. We washed three cars, mine, Oma's and Pops' truck, that is a lot for a little guy. It is the perfect job for Liam because he love playing with the hose. It was also a great way to cool down on such a hot day.
Wrong way Li
a little lower
I was standing in the danger zone.
The water pressure was too hard at first, and he couldn't control where it was going.
It almost knocked him over a few times.
Getting mommy all wet. (I think he was doing that on purpose.)
Scrubbing bubbles... he was a hard little worker.
Thanks to Liam the lower half of the cars look great!
Holding my had while Oma moved her car. I Loved this pic.
Cleaning out the sponge
Pops' asked us to do his truck while we were at it. YIKES! The mud came off fairly easily, surprisingly.
Liam helped Oma move Pops' truck.
We were already wet so we jumped in the pool for a swim.

Liam goes Kayaking

Oma and I were watching Liam play with the hose when Pops came home from work. Pops had a wonderful idea. He Loaded up his three Kayaks in the truck and we headed out to Lake Lewisville to paddle around. It was Liam's first time in a boat. He had seen tons of boats in Destin but didn't get in one. He was talking about his special boat ride all the way to the lake.

Oma  and Liam watched Pops secure the boats in the truck.
So excited
Liam and I sat in the back. The truck doesn't have AC so we opened the windows.
The boats all strapped down.
Pops and Oma are ready for the adventure too
On the way there we stopped and picked up a picnic dinner

Liam started out in Pops' boat then switched to Oma's. Oma's is smaller though so it was tight. He switched back after a little dip in the lake.
Liam doing some Texas Bobbin'!
We went to Academy and got Liam a life vest. He like floating in it but it was just vest and head, and with his hat and glasses you could hardly see him.
He loved being in the water.
Oma in her green Kayak
Liam wanted to paddle
I had the red Kayak
Stroke, stroke
Having fun on the Lake
Liam wondered what would happen if he let go of the paddle... there is goes!
He was interested in Pops' hat

We paddled over to some shade and linked our boats together to have dinner. Liam was hungry he ate a sandwich like a big boy. Oma had to paddle us out of the shrubs a few times.
Liam and Pops had a splash fight.
Mom and I chatting on the Lake
Liam splashing me!
On the way back in Liam was laying on his tummy like the figure head of the bow. It was cute he was having fun going fast.
We stopped to watch the sunset. Liam and Pops' are on the right .
It was late so we headed home. It was a wonderful outing though, we will have to do it again soon, I know Will would want to come.

A garage for the CAT

This morning I suggested to Liam that we make a garage for his cars with his blocks. I came and sat down with him and asked which car we were going to put in the garage. He got up and ran out of the room and came back with his huge CAT Bulldozer. It took all the blocks we had
but we made an awesome garage for the CAT.

teamwork!
proud builders
Liam pushed the bulldozer in  the garage to test it out
Working the lights and turning it on

Then we he had fun knocking it down! Here is a video of the CAT Garage demo:
