Two Sundays ago Will and I had the opportunity to participate in Engage Sunday at the Heights. Engage Sunday, is a Sunday where the Church reaches out to be the hands and feet of Jesus in DFW. We met for a short worship send off service and then the whole church loads up school busses and heads to different places all over the Metroplex. Will and I were bus captains this year and had a great time getting to know the members of the heights that the Lord put on our bus. We were so blessed to be able to paint, and clean the Welcome house in Dallas. It is an abuse recovery house, t and they also help HIV/ AIDS patients and their families with housing. The Welcome house was founded in 1966 and is run by Dr. Don Johnson. Will and I had a great time talking to him and hearing all about how the Lord has worked in Dr. Johnson's life as well as in the lives of those who stay at the Welcome House. I took some pictures but I would also like to encourage you to check out their web site and pray about donating to this amazing ministry. Just like many 501c3's they depend on donations. Please consider the welcome house when deciding on your next charitable donation. It would be a huge blessing!
