Will becomes a Reverend!

October 11 was Will's ordination service. It was such a special night and wonderful service. It was in the Chapel at the Heights and lots of our friends and family came.

The Chapel

T. Bob Davis Played Piano for Emily  and Trent who sang , They were great!
I must say all three are super talented musicians!

Family Picture in the Chapel

Trent Blackly is our music minister he led us in Worship to start off the service.
All Hail The Power of Jesus Name

Dr. Gary Singleton is our pastor; he gave a message (Which I didn't get a picture of because he was talking straight to us.) After the message Ben Cozad Got up and motioned Will for Candidacy of Ordination. It was neat because Ben is one of our ABF Directors and also is on the Ordination Committee. After that Gary asked us to come up, Will sat in the chair and I stood behind while people were going to pray for us.

All the ministers of the Heights gathered around first and prayed and layed hands on Will

Emily sang come thou fount, it was so beautiful!

Then there was a time for other ordained ministers to come up and lay hands on Will and Pray. Clint, Uncle Richard came up and Will invited my dad to join  in that group too.

Then family member and friends were invited to come. It was so special to feel the support of everyone and know that they were praying for your ministry.

After the prayers Dr. Singleton presented Will with his Ordination Certificate

Will is official!

Emily Sang How Great Thou Art, I wanted to jump up and sing with her, I was worshiping right along with her. It was incredible. Every one wanted to clap for her and for the worship of the Lord after ward but they didn't know if they should. When Gary got up he said it was okay to clap and everyone erupted.
It was awesome.

Uncle Richard (Dr. Richard Land) gave a gospel presentation and said a few words to Will. It was so neat that he came in and very special to have him there!

Will got up and said a few words

Trent led us in worship. He sang, You Said, by Shane and Shane.
Will loves that song and it fit so perfectly with the night.
"...The Harvest is here the Kingdom is near you said, ask and I'll give the nations to you, Oh Lord that's the cry of my heart..."

Lastly John Wills gave a few closing remarks and presented Will with a Bible.

The Cozad’s and the Krieger’s (Our ABF directors) gave a reception for Will after the service. It was so fun. It was an old fashioned Southern Baptist Reception. There was cake and yummy punch and nuts and mints. The room was decorated in fall decor'. It was so cute!
My mom brought some sugar cookies in the shapes of churches and crosses. She made Red velvet cake (Her specialty) cupcakes with fall sprinkles. She framed Will's Ordination invitation and had everyone sign the mat. And she brought a cake too.

Check out the precious decorations! I love that squirrel!

Will's mom gave a little speech and gave him the family gift!
A really nice digital camera!

Nicole was super sweet and took Liam out to the lobby to play during the service. Which was nice because Will and I didn't have a plan for Liam. Liam Made the rounds during the reception, he is the life of the party.

Some of our ABF class chowin' down on the yummy goodies!
Amy and Daryl, Andrea and Sara

Will played with his new camera

As a thank you we gave Emily some performing jewelry and a Barrett doll. I found this Army doll at Wisteria and thought she needed it. I told her she should make it smell like Barrett and curl up with it at night.
(We missed you Barrett! Emily rocked, I am sure you are super proud!)

Will hob nobbin' with his friends

After the reception some of the family went out to Snuffers and ate a yummy burger. Liam was excited to stay up so late.

Moi and Granddaddy joined us at Snuffer's too!

It was a fabulous night, what a blessing.
